Harana through Skype :)

Today, my boyfriend and I are celebrating our 4th Anniversary. And because I am here in Singapore and he is in the Philippines, we celebrated it through skype.

We’re the type of couple who doesn’t go out much or gives a very big deal on special occasion because we believe that everyday is special. We don’t usually give gifts to each other every month. ย We just do surprises sometimes, or we just go out and eat, or we just choose to be together. Not doing those kinds of things doesn’t mean we don’t care about our relationship. We just choose to enjoy simple things and be grateful that we have each other.

Anyways, last night, we waited for the clock to struck midnight so that we could greet each other. We both said we were speechless and do not know what to say. Hahaha! ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess we already know what we would say to each otherand we don’t need to say it out loud.

After a few minutes, Jun got his guitar and started strumming it. He played some of our favourite songs and I was “kinikilig”. I really love it when he sings for me because he has a good voice. He usually serenades me if I ask him to and his voice makes me at peace and makes me happy.

Here are some of the lyrics of our favourite songs that he san last night..

“Nothing can come between us
Nothing can separate us
Nothing can ever break us apart
Well, it only shows
That nothing can keep us from getting close.”-Close by Paolo Santos

“And then that’s when I met you
Faith could have brought me to you
I know your my answered prayer
Coz’ I see in you”- Rush by MYMP

“I just can’t compare you with anything in this world
As endless as forever
Our love will stay together
You are all i need to be with forevermore”-Forevemore by Side A

We may not be together, we may be miles apart, but nothing can stop us from showing how much we love each other, how happy we are, and nothing can stop us from celebrating our special day. We may not have prepared for it, but we’re still happy with this simple things. We’re just happy to see each other and we are very grateful knowing that whatever happens, we our love is still there and that won’t change.

Yes, it is really hard to be away from each other. We want to be with our special someone but we can’t. It is only up to us how we would make each other special, how would find time for each other and how we would let our special someone feel loved even if we are miles apart. It is hard now, but what we do is that we’re looking forward to the date we would be seeing each other again. Just like what they say, “Distance makes the heart grow fonder” and “Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.”.

A book lover’s thoughts..

โ€œI read books because I love them, not because I think I should read them.โ€
โ€•ย Simon Van Booy

Every book lover’s dream is to have their own library where they can just read all they want. As a bookworm, that is also my dream. I started reading when I was 12 years old and I was influenced by one of my classmates in highschool. I can still remember the series that I’ve read back then, it was “The Baby-Sitters Club” by Ann M. Martin. I honestly was not that into reading during my younger years but when I started reading the series, that was when my love for reading developed.

Now, I love reading books and I love buying books. Before, I only buy book that I want to read and since I was only in high school back then, I only buy books if I have saved my allowance. I buy my books in book sales before where it’s way way cheaper than those in bookstores. I only started buying more books when I was on my last few years in college and now because I am already working and I don’t need to save to buy books (I need to stop buying books to save! Haha!).

Whenever I go to bookstores or booksales, I feel so calm and relaxed. I don’t know why but whenever I’m stressed, I’d like to go to a bookstore or even just sit down and read a book. And when I buy books, I don’t usually care how much I spend. (Well I guess I would care if it’s more than 150 dollars already. Haha!) That’s why I go to book fairs and book sales so I could buy more books for a lesser value. ๐Ÿ™‚

Most people say that reading is boring and that they don’t have time to read books and that it will take a long time for them to finish a book. That is why some of my friends ask me why I bother reading books, or why I waste my time reading it. I tell them reading is not a waste of time. When you read you can learn a lot of things and I’m sure all those bookworms out there would agree with me. There’s also this weird feeling as if you imagine that you’re part of the story and that you can relate to the story and relate with the characters.

If you say you don’t have time to read a book because you are a busy person, well if you really want to, you would find time for it. And if you say that it would take you a long time to read it, well it’s alright if it would take you a year, at least you’ve read a book. You should just find a book that would interest you and if you start reading that, you will read and read and read and read. ๐Ÿ™‚

23 Life Lessons You Get From Working At A Restaurant

Thought Catalog

1. If you donโ€™t have a thick skin and complete abandonment of political correctness, donโ€™t go near the kitchen. You will immediately learn there that what you consider to be off-limits is just the baseline of someone elseโ€™s sense of humor.

2. Bad tippers are the worst kinds of people, and are often terrible in many other ways than just being cheap.

3. Correction, the worst people are those who donโ€™t tip or tip very badly, and accompany their financial insult with a snarky note left on the receipt.

4. The pain of a bad seating chart is a real one, and not a single customer will care or understand that you got slammed while someone else is totally dead.

5. The difference between the people who have never worked in food service, and the people who have, is always clearly visible. And a lot of time it has toโ€ฆ

Hello there! :)

Here I go again with a new blog. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve always wanted to be a blogger who posts regularly but I guess I do not have the time and ideas. Hahaha!Well actually I do have ideas and I’ve already started blogging a long time ago. But I wasn’t able to update my blog regularly so I just decided to delete it. I also think that my previous blog doesn’t really feel like me(if you know what I mean) because I doesn’t feel like me. Hahahaha!

But I hope that with I can be consistent with this blog. I think I just have to treat this as my journal wherein I can post whatever I want and whatever I feel like posting or sharing. I may not be sure if someone will be reading my posts here but I do hope that whoever reads my posts can learn something from it.
Maybe I would be posting about some of my realisations, my experiences at work, and many more. I always think of many things but sometimes I forget about all of those because I never write it anywhere and it’s just sad becasue sometimes I’d like to share it and I would want to ask for opinions. But I would eventually forget it because I am the type of person who easily forget the things I’m thinking. And I’m also not good with updating a written journal so I would try journaling here.
I hope I will enjoy blogging here and that those who will read will also enjoy it. ๐Ÿ™‚
I’ll be posting again soon (I hope)! ๐Ÿ™‚
